Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Utah, I was raised a Mormon and I'm a Mormon still today.

About Me

Well going to high school I threw the shot put and discus on the track and field team. I had a summer job during high school where I worked on a fruit farm. My first year of college I went to Utah State University, then took a two year break to do service for the LDS church as a missionary in Copenhagen Denmark. I met some of the most wonderful people over there and have a deep love for the people and country. I think about Denmark everyday and have only good memories.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I'm a Mormon because without Christ's Church I would be nothing. Being a Mormon gives me purpose to my life I can't find anywhere else. Through this Gospel of Christ, I am able to know that there is something after this life on Earth ends. That I will live forever and that I can be happy forever. Another reason why I'm a Mormon is that I have received a testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that peace can be found through Him, that meaning to life can be found through Him. Also, I have read the Book of Mormon and asked God if it is true, and the answer came through the Holy Ghost which told me that it is true.

How I live my faith

By doing what I'm supposed to be doing like praying daily, reading scriptures, etc. In doing these things I have found that I come closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

The missionaries fund their missions themselves. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not pay them. It is the member's choice and priviledge to serve a mission. And they fund themselves. In my case though, my parents support my choice to serve a mission so they are helping me pay for it. Show more Show less
