Hi I'm Rhett Bassett

I am a thrill seeker, sports fanatic, a dj, a partier. . . . and i am a mormon!

About Me

i love sports!!!! i did them all basketball football baseball golf wrestling swimming racketball badminton you name it i pretty much did it. i love the water. i cliff jump, wakeboard, wakesurf, skim board, jetski. i was a big skier but switched to snowboarding and i never went back ha. i love just living life and hanging with friends, do crazy things on the weekends and just enjoy life. i am a dj, a life guard, a land sureveyour, a construction worker, a retail salesman, and now. . . a full time missionary for the church of jesus christ of latter day saint.

Why I am a Mormon

i grew up a mormon, but i took it for granted. i was a party guy. every weekend i would be at a dance or someones house having the time of my life and then the next day just sleep through church. I told my parents that i wasnt going to go on a mission that i was just going to move to california and work, live with my friends and just love life. But i wasnt loving life. every night i couldnt sleep i would just have this aweful feeling all the time and one night the worst thought popped into my head and i bawled, i realized i was on a path of destruction and if i continued the way i was my soul would be destroyed. through prayer and the power of the atonement and repentance, i found my way back, and now i am 19 years old serving a full time mission in Toronto Canada :). i truely loved every day that i have lived since that night, and i love living/teaching the gospel to these amazing people.

How I live my faith

i live my faith by being an example to my friends and people around me. Not everyone will know that im a mormon, but they always know that there is something different about me and that eventually leads them towards asking me questions. Im proud of being a mormon, but i dont make everyone uneasy about it, you know? I still do stupid fun stuff because thats just who i am, but i know whats right and wrong, and i hold strong to what i believe and no one second guesses me because they know that its important to me.
