Hi I'm Joel

I'm husband to a beautiful wife, father to a wonderful little girl (twin boys coming soon!), and a Mormon!

About Me

After nearly five years of marriage, and six total moves, we are now in Texas! We are about to have twin boys that will join our sweet and bossy little girl Lucy. We love to be together as a family in the yard, at the pool, at the park, with our friends, or anywhere else. To me, life is best when we build lasting and loving relationships with as many people as we can. I try to be as kind and giving as I can because that is when I feel best about myself. I've spent too many years of my life focused on selfish things and I don't want to waste any more time! My life is defined by my commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ, and even more by His commitment to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm "still" a Mormon because I've asked God in the name of Jesus Christ if this is His church, if the Book of Mormon is true, and if Joseph Smith really was a true prophet of God. The answer to those questions has always been yes, and I've felt it in my heart countless times through the power of the Holy Ghost. Although hard to explain, I simply know in my heart that it is true, and that I am a member of Christ's church. It is something I could never deny because I've felt it so deeply and still do. I know that the Lord has saved me and I'm trying every day to prepare to live with Him again by being a better husband, father, brother, son, and friend. I know that He lives and guides His church and that is why I am "still" a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I know that the Lord will do for me what I cannot do for myself if I just ask Him, and then try to do my best. I firmly believe that we can make a difference in the lives of others if we try to be kind and selfless and let the spirit of God guide all of our efforts. And I know that the Lord will help us as we help Him because I've witnessed it in my own life. There is nothing better than helping other people feel the love that Heavenly Father has for all of us, and the joy that comes from following our Savior Jesus Christ.
