Hi I'm Joyce

I have lived in several locations across the United States. I grew up in Western Pennsylvania. I'm a homemaker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to the same man for over 40 years. We have 16 grandchildren. We have visited or lived in almost every state in the United States because of emplyment. We have moved around a lot. I have friends and family where ever I go because of my church. That's helped me a lot. I do genealogy and family history researching or gathering over 30,000 names of ancestors or relatives. I make quilts, my own clothes and shirts for my husband. I hand stitch and crochet. I teach an adult scripture class.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 11 years old the first time I read the Bible. It's words guided me to know the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints/Mormon were in compliance when I was introduced to it. My desire is and always has been to know the ways of Jesus Christ and follow them. "Mormonism" showed me more of what my Savoir wanted of me. My life has been blessed far beyond the space or words to write it all since my baptism in 1967.

How I live my faith

When I first decided to make this walk with Jesus the Christ I committed with Him to do all I heard or read that I was to do to put it to the test. It has passed. I have read the Book of Mormon. The power in its words strengthen those of the Bible and increase hope for the future in this troubled world.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Joyce
Because it is the first witness of Jesus of Nazereth being the Christ. The Old Testament tells of His coming and Jehovah's dealings with His people of that day, especially the house of Judah. The Book of Mormon is the recording of Jehovah's dealings with His people of 600 BC to 400 AD living on this the American Continent and witnesses of the visit of Jesus Christ to His people, descendents of Joseph of the house of Israel, here. The two books are now one in our/my hand as Ezekiel says would come. We cannot have the Gospel of Jesus Christ without both volumns - the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Each are the "second witness" to the other. Show more Show less
