Hi I'm Cameron

I grew up in Texas. I love to play paintball. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love being outdoors. I love swimming and paintball. I love bridge jumping. I have gone to college for a year now at byu in Idaho. i have lived in all sorts of places in the united states. My dad changed alot of jobs and so because of that, we moved around alot. we have even lived in Mexico City for a few years. The one thing that hasn't changed though is the church. Wherever I have lived, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been the same for me. It is a church of unity and no matter where you are in the world, they teach the same lesson, whether it be learning from the holy Bible or from the book of Mormon or from modern-day prophets, its all the same.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member for my entire life. My parents have been members all their lives. This has been all i have known. But be that as it may, i have had my own coversion process. i was in high school when it happened. i was talking to one of the counselors at my school and we were talking about my class schedule and trying to work things out when the sublect of college came up. she asked me what i was going to try to be and i said a doctor but not until i went on a mission for my church. a mission consists of 2 years devoted to the lord and to trying to bring other people unto christ. she laughed at me when i told her this. she said it would be the worst mistake i could ever make: delaying school and a successful life to helping other people learn their purpose in this life. i looked her back in the eyes and said "I know this church is true and i won't let you change my mind about serving." as soon as i said this she stayed quiet and i left her office. after a few days she called me back to her office to apologize for what she said. Never before in my life was my testimony tested like it was then. i never thought that i could do something like that. But from all the years i have spent in the church, it built a foundation for me and i know i have a testimony of the truthfulness of this church. if you are investigating the church, please read the book of mormon and pray about it. that is the only way you can know for sure if this church is for you or not.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to care about everyone I meet. I try to show love towards everyone just like Jesus did when he was on the earth. I have served as a young men leader for my church. I also join in on any service project that I see. I try my best to tell everyone what I believe and to be an example for those who I dont meet. I try to live the commandments as best as i can.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The word of wisdom is like a health code the god have given us to live by. We stay away from things like: tobacco, alcohol, coffee and tea, and illegal drugs. It was a revelation that the prophet joseph smith recived when he saw some of the brethern drinking and smoking. It troubled him and he went to the Lord to see what He had to say about it. I know alot of people think that these things are fine for you but really they can only hurt you. It only makes sense to me to stay away from things that could cause me harm. Show more Show less
