Hi I'm Jaron

I love history, creativity, music, and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I love to be active. I enjoy the company of friends. Along with being active I still set aside quiet time to ponder life and my future. I enjoy creating things whether it be music, cakes, a canon, or friendships. I love to listen. I desire to understand where people are coming from and how I can help. My family are my best friends! From Lego's to cooking, I love to spend time with my family. I like to solve problems, challenges are always fun for me. I am preparing to attend college this fall, and I am excited to continue learning and make more friends. I am excited for my future and for the opportunity to have a family of my own. My parents have set a great example for me to follow. I am greatful for them every day of my life! I love my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He has done so much for me! Without Him I would be lost in this life. He has provided me with the strength and understanding I need to be joyful in this life and to return back to God.

Why I am a Mormon

I have not always been happy. In my life i have suffered much from depression. It is not fun at all. I've had much turmoil for much of my life. That point in my life was very dark. It felt like I was in a large hole that kept getting deeper and deeper. I didn't know how to escape or how to free myself. Over and over I would use all my will power to escape this hole. It never worked. I began to doubt that God loved or even saw me. Friendships were hard to accept because of my insecurities from depression. I began to loose feeling and sensitivity. My parents were very loving and always supportive. But I didn't see, I was blinding myself. I was provided the opportunity to attend a youth camp as I had many times. During this particular camp I was looking for a feeling of peace from God. Some sign of love from Him. I decided to pray,so I poured my whole self into prayer, asking to know if he was there. Later that day, someone told me that God knew and Loved me. All of a sudden I felt a peace that I couldn't describe. It felt like a vibrant, powerful, and comforting hug. I began to cry. I knew from that day that God knew me. I know he loves all of us. I began to do more of the simple daily things that God asks us to do. I began to read every day from the scriptures, to pray, and pay more attention in church. As I performed these acts of faith I began to feel more often God's love. I began to recognize the promptings of the Holy Spirit. As I followed those promtings more joy flowed into my life. Today I crave spiritual learning and the joy it brings. The Gospel of Jesus Ghrist is what helps me get through the hard parts of life and make them a learning experience that produces joy. I love The Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon. Without both of those tools I would not be where I am today. Every time I study those books of inspired scripture I become better! Today I am joyful, I love people, my future is bright, and I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in the community. There is so much we can do if we just use our initiative. I have had the opportunity to be a part of many service projects including visiting the elderly. They always uplift and teach me so much. They also love being visited, so if you haven't yet it's worth your while. :) I enjoy listening to others and comforting them. A listening ear can do so much for someone. I have had the opportunity to be part of a council for young, single adults. Where I have had part in scheduling and creating activities for people to get to know each other. I follow the council of the Prophet and Apostles. Their words really are from the Lord and for our day. As I have followed their council I have been able to draw nearer to my Savior Jesus Christ. By doing this I am able to be assisted by the Holy Ghost to guide me throughout Every day of my life. There are many cultures, influences, and pressures in the world to try and pull us further from God. As I have done my part in following this Gospel I have been able to rest assure that all will be alright. :) I have had the opportunity of being a scoutmaster for boys eleven years old. Boy are they hyper! I have loved serving them, it has made me a better friend, brother and son. I feel that living my faith means that Jesus Christ is the source of my power, that I am to be an example to others, and that I am to prepare for the future every day of my life. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. It is through Him and living His Gospel that we can reach our goal of living with Him and our Heavenly Father.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Jaron
This is a very special topic. The Law of chastity prohibits sexual realations between anyone who is not leagaly married as husband and wife. I have pondered much about this topic as I have been asked many times on my opinion concerning it. I have often wondered what I can do to raise my future family in a loving environment. I have had the opportunity to meet many families and interact with them. I have found one major element in those families that were happy and loving. Those families were always founded on true love. When a husband and wife were loyal in thought and action to each other, from the beggining of marriage, there was always love in the home. One reason why the law of chastity is a commandment from God is because he truly loves us! He wants our families to be founded on the joy of love. Imagine the sorrow and stress that would accompany a family built upon the temporary lusts of man. That would be awful! God is loving, so he will help anyone to live or start living this law. As we live this way we can be more happy and joyful with our family. Show more Show less
