Hi I'm Stuart Lake

I'm from palm springs California. I love anything that has to do with water or Jesse Lacey. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What's up? My name is Stuart. I'm 22 years old. I am currently serving as a missionary for the LDS church in Mcallen Texas. Its great. Serving God is the best thing that you can ever do. I am happier than I have ever been and I know its only comes from God. I grew up in Palm Springs, a city about 2 hours from the ocean in the desert of California. I come from a pretty outrageous family of 8. I am one of two boys and have 4 sisters. With that many kids, life gets hectic, in a good way. My family is definitely the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I am a huge fan of music and the ocean. The I love bands like Brand New, Circa Survive, The fall of Troy, Chiodos, Coheed and Cambria, and often sing them loudly in the shower. Also I think that if reincarnation were real, I would be a dolphin so I could kick it in the ocean forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church. But I guess I didn't really ever get interested in God til I was about 19. Through high school I just kinda went to church because my parents did and enjoyed it, but didn't really know if it was all real. When I left for college, I decided that I had better figure out for myself if what my parents believed and had taught me was true. I decided to read the Book of Mormon and pray and ask God if it was true. I started to read six pages every night and would pray each night to ask God if it was true. For three or four weeks I did that, whether it was at 12 at night or 4 in the morning after coming back to my dorm. Finally, about a month later, I had an amazing experience when I felt the spirit. A huge peace came over me and I realized that the Book of Mormon really was the word of God, and that it had brought me closer to God in that month, and had literally saved my life. So now, I'm on a mission, sharing the gospel that I love with as many people as will listen. I really do know that the things I share everyday are true, because I have seen them change my life. Its great too because everyday I get to see them change the lives of others and remind the change I have been blessed with. Man. Good looking out Heavenly Father!

How I live my faith

Well, I live it the best I can. I am far from perfect. And I think the more that I learn about the Gospel the more I realize that I have a long way to go. But right now I am a missionary, aka one of those guys who wears a white shirt and tie and bikes around to spread the word. So everyday day all day I have the opportunity to live my faith and share it with others. Its pretty grand.
