Hi I'm Heather

Recipe and quote fanatic. A lover of the game of basketball. Fruit, family, crooners and Christmas are my things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played sports in high school. I love being involved in sports, especially basketball and volleyball! Love when I can find a good book to read. I come from a family of eight, five sisters. So much fun! I love being with my family and traveling with them. Couldn't ask for better people in my life! I went to school for Cosmetology, so I now have my license as a hairstylist. Comes in handy with a family of all girls! I'm currently serving in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission and loving every minute of it! I couldn't be doing anything more rewarding and life changing with my time.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know with all my heart that it is the true church in it's fullness on the earth today. I've been so blessed to be raised in this gospel and have so many wonderful examples in my life to look to in all that I do. I truly do know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows exactly who I am and all that I can become. I know our Father in Heaven is mindful of us and every hardship and trial or joy and triumph we experience always has a purpose and is preparing each of us for something greater and to be someone greater each day than we were yesterday. And by relying on our Heavenly Father in all situations we are faced with, we will always come out on top and be a step closer to who our Heavenly knows we have the capacity to become. I'm grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice on my behalf so that I can have the opportunity to return to the presence of my Heavenly Father. I know that it is only through our faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement that we can return to the presence of our God as eternal families forever. What a comfort and strength it's been in my life to have this knowledge and to know that because Jesus Christ died and suffered for all my short comings and mistakes, I truly can return to the presence of God and I am never alone. For I know that Christ is there every step of the way and can comfort me in all things because of His infinite sacrifice made for each one of us. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and through it, we can find answers to all of life's questions and concerns if we but do it with sincere heart and ask our Heavenly Father. I know without a doubt that prayers are answered. I'm forever grateful for Joseph Smith and all that He sacrificed to restore the church, in it's fullness, back to the earth. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God and restored His church through His authority. I'm grateful for a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. He truly is called of God.

How I live my faith

I've always strived to live my faith through what I do and say. I've always tried my best to be an example to those around me by doing what is asked of us by our prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I know that all He asks of us is what God would have us do. I believe example has a profound impact on all people. I do my best to apply what I learn from the scriptures and wonderful examples in my own life and our perfect example, Jesus Christ as a standard of how I myself should act to best represent myself, my family and my faith. I live my faith now by serving a mission for 18 months in the New Hampshire Manchester mission and pray that through my words and actions, I will have an impact on others lives the way this gospel has had in my own life.
