Hi I'm Brittany

I'm from Southern California. I'm serving in the Utah Salt Lake City Central Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California. I love to surf there and enjoy as many days at the beach as I can. I tried going to BYU-Idaho, but after a rough semester and too much cold, I came home. I struggled to find out what to do with my life, and after a few hard choices and trials, I decided to serve a mission. I got my call this past February and am currently serving in the Utah Salt Lake City Central Mission. I loved the MTC, and I found out what it feels like to have the Spirit with me constantly. I have learned so much, and have really learned to love the Lord and those He puts in my path. I have never felt better about a life decision than the one I am currently living.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church, but never really knew it was true for myself. I was always going off of other people's testimonies, because I looked up to them. I faced a few trials in my life that really tested my faith, and when I had nowhere else to turn, I turned to the Lord and His servants. My Bishop is the one that really applied the Gospel to my life, and I had never realized that the Atonement of Jesus Christ was for me personally. As I've applied that lesson to myself and my trials, I have been blessed and have learned how to overcome them. But I'm definitely still learning. I don't think we are ever finished, really. Even in the MTC, my companion helped me to realize more about the Atonement. There is always something to learn. and the Atonement is the most important lesson.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith by accepting a call to be a nursery worker (a call to teach the littler children, that I was in for approximately four years), and more recently, the call to serve a mission. I can think of no better way to serve the Lord than to commit a full eighteen months to His work.
