Hi I'm Emmett J. Cook

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a retired Air Traffic Controller; 22 years in the Air Force, and 20 years with the FAA. Married for almost 50 years to the same wonderful women I met in High School. Two sons, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after having been associated with the church through my wife, who had been a member for twenty years, and finally realizing what a great gospel this was. I had seen the positive changes in my wife and how she was raising our sons. I could see the effect it was having on my sons also. I had always supported my wife and sons in their church activities and callings, and even served in the scouting organization. I realized that this was definitely a church I believed in, and that I believe the Book Of Mormon and the Bible therefore I became a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I've held several callings over the last twenty years, including Executive Secretary to the Bishop, Young Men's counselor, Young Men's president, Ward Mission Leader, and currently as second counselor to the Bishop. I enjoy Home Teaching and do have a testimony of the benefits to both the families I Home Teach and to me as a Home Teacher. I enjoy the missionaries and the warmth and strength they bring to our ward.
