Hi I'm Blake

I'm a bassist. I'm a future anesthesiologist. I like techno. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really, really, really love music. Classic rock is my favorite, but I'm pretty much open to everything (I also really like techno, but just for fun). I'm a bassist. I'm studying to be an anesthesiologist. I love making people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I was first given the chance to be a Mormon by having grown up in the church. Throughout my teenage years, however, I had to quickly decide which path I would take. I early on made the choice to choose God over Satan and have been following that path as best as I can since then. It hasn't been easy; Satan is a real bugger! But I know that I will never regret my decision. Jesus Christ and His teachings give deep meaning and purpose to life... something that I treasure dearly. I know that those who follow the straight and narrow path will find peace and happiness in this life and eternal life in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission in Orlando, Florida, and I love it. I have always enjoyed serving with other organizations outside of the church as well. I enjoy helping out others and love the happiness that comes from giving something and receiving nothing in return (besides the good feelings, that is). Some of my favorite projects have been preparing Christmas donations to give to children in needy families, helping with yard work for the elderly or otherwise unable, and volunteering at an elementary school to help tutor children. I earned my Eagle Scout award with the project of helping gather, clean, measure, and organize seeing glasses, sunglasses, and protective glasses to be sent to Guatamala.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?
