Hi I'm Matheus

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a brazilian guy who love to develop my talents. I love chemistry and I study "Industrial Chemistry" at college. I'm a non-professional photographer (yet) and want to play some instrument. I like being with my family and friends and hang out with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 10-years-old. I'd have just arrived in the city where I live now, but my father and my sister already lived here and attended the Church. My father was baptized, and after a while my sister was baptized too. I continued attending and I ordered a copy of the Book of Mormon to read, after I wanted the visit of the elders and also asked to be baptized. while praying and study the scriptures at this years I could understand more about the plan of salvation and the role of Jesus Christ and I am very grateful for the sacrifice He made. I recognize that Heavenly Father loves each of us and so organized His Church here on earth for us to become better people.

How I live my faith

I pray and study my scriptures daily, I try to serve the others and attend church every Sunday. I try to participate as much as possible. I like to teach people too (I'm like a "substitute teacher"). I attend other activies and as many meetings during the week as I can, especially with the young adults.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Matheus
no one is pushed to serve a mission, but the men are priesthood holders and have the responsibility of "to warn, expound, exhort, and teach, and invite all to come unto Christ" (D&C 20:59), but it's a choise to who want "serve Him with all [their] heart" (D&C 4:2). The Lord said that "time shall come when the knowledge of a Savior shall spread throughout every nation, kindred, tongue, and people" (Mosiah 3:20) and this is what missionaries do - and what I'll do soon. I'll serve at Argentina Buenos Aires South Mission and learn spanish. I want that all know that "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God" (D&C 18:10), the gospel blessings and the Lord's love. The men serve for 2 years (ages 19-26) and women serve for 1.5 year (ages 21-40). Show more Show less
