Hi I'm Tyler

I'm from Michigan, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a small farming community in Michigan. I hardly ever worked on any of the farms, but I do enjoy working hard. That's one of the things that I am so glad that my parents taught me; the value of hard labor. I never had a real sense of what that meant until I came out here to California to serve my mission. Doing the "Work" 16 hours a day, 6 days a week is a real test to show what one is made of. I didn't really have a chance to go to college before I received my calling to serve a mission. Besides, I was too busy working on my motorcycle to even have the time! But in all reality, when I am done serving here I wish to attend BYU for pre-med and then transfer to the University of Michigan for medical school to become a facial reconstruction specialist. I hope someday to have a family of my own, and be able to provide for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for one reason; it's true. Nevermind all of the relief work, welfare, and all the other things. What it boils down to is that it's true, and you can know of these things for yourself. All I ask is that you read the Book of Mormon, and read it with the Bible, and pray about it. I did, and I have a steadfast and immoveable testimony of the Gospel. If I didn't, I wouldn't be out here, would I? I had some dark times in my life, some parts that I don't wish to talk about. High school was probably the hardest thing, next to being a missionary. All the put-downs, bullying, etc, tend to wear people down. But what got me throught the darkest of times, was knowing that all that is unfair in this life, can be made right throught the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That through that sacrifice, we can return to live with our Heavenly Father once again. That is my testimony. I know for a surety, that this Gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I never really understood why I needed to follow all of the teachings of the Church. I really began to understand why I needed to follow these teachings as I began to prepare for my mission. As things began to set in, it all began to click. I pray many times a day, study throughout the day, and am eager to serve others.
