Hi I'm Ethan

I'm from Tennessee. I love sports, food, a good joke, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If there is food or sports involved you can bet I'm there! Growing up in the south and the oldest of six kids, food has always been a huge part of my life. I love sandwiches, bbq, you name it. I also love sports, I've played soccer, football, basketball, golf, and I'm willing to try just about anything. Living in Nashville naturally makes me a country music fan. I'm an avid weight lifter, and try to be healthy, when it's convenient. I am currently serving a mission for the Church in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. Its wonderful here! When i return home, I plan on going to school for construction management.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by wonderful parents and leaders. Their teaching's and testimonies were vital as I grew up. As i grew older i was able to decide for myself if this was something I wanted for me. It hasn't always been easy as i have searched and struggled for my testimony but it was worth it. It always is. The world is hard, it throws things our way we often feel we are inadequate to overcome. Through the gospel though, I have come to know that with the Savior's help ALL things can be overcome. There are many people who go through this life without a knowledge that they can be cleansed from the mistakes they make, live with loved ones forever and can always be happy despite daily challenges that arise. I know that all these things are not only possible, but happen. And I want you to know it too!

How I live my faith

Currently I have the wonderful opportunity of serving the Lord as a full time missionary. I get to teach others about the wonderful plan that families can be together forever, because of Jesus Christ. I try to live my faith by helping others to learn about the restored truths the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has to offer. I have formerly served in my youth group as a leader of kids my age. I served my community as a boy scout, and participated in a program where I got to volunteer as a p.e. coach at a local elementary school. I try to live my faith by being happy and giving time and attention to those in need. I try to act as best as i can like my Savior Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way we can know if anything is true is by asking God, through simple, sincere prayer. Coming to church helps one to see what Mormons are like. Reading the the book of mormon helps us to understand Christ's gospel better, but truth is taught by the holy ghost. Also known as the Holy Spirit. Praying for the Spirit to touch you and witness that the church is true is how we can know if mormonism is true. Show more Show less
