Hi I'm Jeff Widtfeldt

I grew up outside of Philadelphia. I'm a college student and budding triathlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a regular guy trying to get my way through a college degree in engineering and business. I love meeting and making new friends and have learned that there is beauty and goodness in everyone. When I'm not in school or doing homework, I love being outdoors, exercising, and playing sports; or just spending time with friends. I'm currently training for a few upcoming triathlons, which I'm really having a fun time with. I'm the 4th child of 8 in my family, and love spending time with all my family, although it's beginning to be harder to do as time goes on.

Why I am a Mormon

Like millions of others, my biggest goal in life is to build on what I've been taught by my parents, siblings, and extended family and one day have a healthy, loving family of my own. I know that this is what God wants for me too, and because He loves us, He speaks and works today to make sure we have everything we need in order to be successful and happy in life. So how is that related to my choice of being an active Mormon? Well, through prayer, reading the Book of Mormon, and receiving personal answers from God, I can honestly say that I know this is where He wants me to be. It's the only Church on earth that will enable me to be with my family forever and accomplish the goals that I have. I know this because my soul is filled with peace, joy, and love everyday as I read the Book of Mormon, pray, and live the principles of Christ's teachings.

How I live my faith

As a college student, the main way I live my faith is just doing the simple things that I know will strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I feel close to Him when I read His words in the Bible and Book of Mormon, pray, attend church, and serve others whenever I can. I have the best job in the world because I have the amazing privelege of working with the missionaries of the Church, and I get to help them be the best teachers they can be. I love my job because I help bring others unto Christ.
