Hi I'm Katie Palmer

I'm your average college student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is my life, I spend much of my day practicing the piano. I just played Rhapsody in Blue with my college symphony band! It was one of the best experiences of my life so far. I will receive my bachelors in piano performance this fall! I'm so excited. The plan is to continue on with my education in grad school. I love hiking, running, dancing, singing, cooking, boating, oh and my all time favorite is...riding roller coasters! Any one who knows me knows my favorite movie of all time is Kung Fu Panda...the second one was just as good as the first!

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful I grew up in the church with parents who were faithful members. I gained a testimony of my own though while growing up and especially attending college. This gospel is true and it has brought me so much peace in my life. My Savior lives. He loves each and everyone of us. I am always amazed at how a perfect being such as Jesus Christ could love a girl like me, who is always making mistakes. I am nothing compared to Him, but I am everything to Him. This is true for every person. The worth of souls is great in the sight of God. And He loves us. He only wants our happiness and that is what this gospel is. At times, there are challenges in life, but you can use that opportunity to grow and come closure to your Heavenly Father. Our Father in Heaven is just that, A Father. He is loving and loves us with a perfect love. He will always listen to our prayers and He will always answer them. Heavenly Father's timing is perfect, and we may have to wait patiently for an answer, but the answer will come. I love this church, it makes me who I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by praying to my Father in Heaven every day. I am called to help the sisters in my ward and I assign lessons for Sunday. I also work with the music in the church. Helping out in every way possible. Putting God first in my life is the main way I live my life. If I put Him first, everything will fall into place and everything will be okay, and at times it is very hard to have faith in something you can't see, but I declare that you can. Just look at the world around you, (It's God's beautiful creation) every where is evidence that He lives and He loves us. I follow and listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, and serving others is a great way to live as Christ lives.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Katie Palmer
Family is the most important unit on the earth. We believe that families can be together forever. They teach us the true nature of Heavenly Father and His love for His children. We can experience that love as we have children of our own. Show more Show less
