Hi I'm Esteban

I'm an ordinary guy who's trying to do his best everyday, though it's hard sometimes. I'm currently serving a mission in the USA

About Me

My name is Esteban (22) and I'm from Chile. I've been a convert for about 10 years and I know this Gospel and this Church are true, I have no doubts in my heart. I'm just an ordinary guy who's trying to figure out what to do with life. Meanwhile, I'm trying to do my best to learn, to grow, to help and to be happy. I'm currently serving as a missionary in the USA. I love to hang out with my friends and loved ones. I love all kind of music and like to read a lot, especially fiction :) Usually I'm very outgoing but I've been introvert lately. I like to be crazy and make others laugh. I was the only member of the Church in my family for some years but my parents joined the Church as well. I love having my family in the Gospel because I don't feel alone anymore. I know with all of my heart that families can be together forever, I want mine to be eternal and that's one of the reasons why I decided to serve a mission. Many people are looking for the truth and sometimes they don't know where to find it, and it makes me happy to know I'm helping others to get that knowledge and testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

Before meeting with the missionaries I didn't know much about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost or religions. When I was 12, I attended my cousin's baptism and met the missionaries. They were patient and taught me the principles of the Gospel. After a couple of months of learning about what Mormons believe, I decided to be baptized. At that moment I couldn't fully understand the importance of that decision, but I do now and I'm so sure it was one the best decisions I've ever made. My life changed for good thanks to the knowledge of the word of God and the plan He has for every one of His children. I know I have a Heavenly Father that's watching over me and that I can trust Him and lean on Him at all times. That's priceless.

How I live my faith

I've heard this saying several times: "Nobody said it'd be easy, but it is worth it," and that's the way I live my life. Being a Mormon is not always easy, to be a good Christian gets hard sometimes but in those moments when I feel down and hopeless, I remember Heavenly Father's plan and all the blessings He promises me if I'm obedient and endure all things. I try to be better everyday, I'm not perfect at all but that's OK, nobody's perfect. I still have a lot of things to learn and some others to improve, just need patience and perseverance, and the Gospel helps to stick to the path that will lead me there.
