Hi I'm Nathan

I was raised in New Mexico for the majority of my life and i served a mission to Atlanta Georgia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at the university and I am studying to be a deaf education teacher. I love sign language and I also enjoy drawing and painting. I just got married about seven months ago and have the sweetest wife. I also work full time at a car maintenance shop.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and went basically because it was expect of me by my parents. They were never pushy or forceful yet they always taught me the gospel. This kept me out of a lot of trouble when I was younger. Yet as I grew older and was coming close to my nineteenth birthday I had to really question if this church was for me. At nineteen you are of the age to serve a full time mission. I knew that if I didn’t believe this church was true how could I go and preach it to somebody. I had to do what everybody should do in order to gain a testimony. I had to read the Book of Mormon and then pray about if it was true or not. Now I know that sometimes we expect the heavens to open and have a great sign to say that this is right yet it didn’t happen that way for me. As I read I was filled with the overwhelming love that Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ had for me. I could see that threw scripture study and prayer I felt the peace and the comfort the sprit brings when you when you hear the truth. I know that this church is true and that we do have a prophet on the earth today. That God love us so much that he has provided us his mouth piece so that we can know where to look for salvation and that is threw his wonderful son even Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try my hardest to live my faith by being an example of what I believe. It seems to come up often but I try to make sure that people know that I am a Mormon. Generally they find this out because i attend church on Sundays which seems to be a more unique thing. I also get to help the elderly who are tied to their homes on Sundays. Working with the youth, meaning the kids ranging from 16 to 18 years old, we take them the sacrament and a talk so that they still can have a little worship service in their nursing homes. Also me and my wife go out and help the missionaries teach people in our communities.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

The purpose in this life is to gain our eternal life. Now what that means goes back to why we are hear on the earth in the first place. That is to be tested to see if we will follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ or will we defy them, which entails that we keeping all there commandments. Yet we are working for the goal to be able to live with our Heavenly Father again. Also if we obtain eternal life we will be able to live with our families forever. Show more Show less
