Hi I'm Ben Dixon

I grew up in Utah. I currently live in So-cal. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in a family of 5 boys and great parents. I love music, and especially love to play the guitar. I played tennis in high school. Currently, I'm serving as a missionary in the California Arcadia mission, amongst the chinese communities. I love the chinese language and their culture. After I finish serving I'll be going back to college, undecided on what exactly I want to study.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I BECAME a mormon was because of the great example of my parents. It's something that they knew would bless me in my life, so I was baptized and confirmed when I was 8 years-old. Why I STAYED a mormon is because of the testimony I've received of Jesus Christ, as well as the divinity of the restoration of this church. I know that this church is true. I didn't receive a testimony all in one moment, but over the years of being a member and doing my best to stay on the Lord's provided pathway I've seen many miracles and blessings in my life. I've had a few spiritual experiences that are very personal to me, and ones that I'll never be able to deny. I am a mormon because of happiness that I now feel in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making it first priority to learn and live the principles of the gospel. I fulfill my calling as a full-time missionary. I teach others daily about the gospel. I strive to help others come to feel the happiness that I so often feel, and the contentness that comes from living a gospel-centered life.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Ben Dixon
We believe that we are completely, thouroughly, 100% saved by grace. Without the grace of Jesus Christ, we would have no hope of obtaining the Kingdom of God. We obtain the power of His grace by showing our love towards Jesus Christ. And, how could anyone truly love Jesus Christ without doing the things he asked us to do? We are baptized, we keep his commandments, we strive to be obedient, and we do our best do exemplify the example that Jesus Christ has given us. These things show that we truly love him, and that we truly WANT to be saved by his grace. How could anyone stand in God's presence knowing that they didn't even try to keep his commandments?
