Hi I'm Courtney Richards

I'm a Georgia Peach, a college student, a true blond, and a lover with life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. I am number three of five in my family, and I have a brother-in-law married to my only sister. I grew up in Georgia, and cheered from 3rd grade to my senior year in high school. Before my mission I attended BYU-Idaho studying exercise science. I love crafts, to create, to bargain shop, decorate, laugh, and love. I enjoy being around the people that I love and having fun while enjoying this wonderful thing called life. I love the outdoors, good food, chocolate, exercising, helping people feel good in their own body, getting a good days worth of sun, and pushing myself to accomplish the unthinkable. I love my family and friends and the impact they've made in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy it brings to my life. Growing up in the church and in Georgia helped me to see both sides of Heavenly Father's plan in a protected environment, that I am very grateful for. I feel true love and happiness following the principles taught from the Savior in the scriptures. From many different experiences in my life and prayer I have come to a knowledge that the principles are true. I know that the Savior's Atonement is real. He can heal anyone if we allow Him too. I continue to follow, because there is no greater joy and peace in all eternity than this; following the Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in the Maryland Baltimore Mission for 18 months teaching those who don't know about the gospel of Jesus Christ and the love that He has for them.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Courtney Richards
"That what we say, We invite." "One must want the consequences of what one wants." These quotes I often relate it to being modest and chaste. I know that when we are obedient God will bless us, and will shower us with His unconditional love when we obey Him. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Courtney Richards
Throughout my life I have been drawn to study more about our bodies and how to keep them healthy and strong. I'm grateful to know from experience that all that the Lord revealed to Joseph Smith is indeed true from special experiences I have had in my life. It just makes sense and falls beautifully into place. I personally am studying to be in the physical fitness industry, and I know that when we take care of our physical bodies our spiritual bodies are strengthend as well. They're intertwined. Our bodies are a gift to us from Heavenly Father. Why not take care of them? We'll be unwise not too. Show more Show less
