Hi I'm Kylie

I'm a student, I'm part of a large family, I love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! This year I am the drum major of my high school marching band, and I also play in my school's jazz band, symphonic band, and orchestra. I'm a senior and I hope to be going to BYU next year!! I don't play on any athletic teams, but I enjoy playing volleyball and ultimate frisbee. I love going to seminary and mutual, and am working on earning my Young Women's medallion for the second time! I come from a very large family, 4 sisters and 3 brothers, and I love it! I am very much looking forward to the day I will be able to be married in the temple and have my own family. (:

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. My entire family and extended family are active members, and have been a wonderful influence on me! I am so grateful to have grown up in a family with standards, values, and strong beliefs. As I have gone through the youth program at church and gone to youth conference, girls camp, firesides, etc. my testimony has been strengthened so much. I don't know how anyone who has read the Book of Mormon and felt the spirit could not believe it's true. How could it not be? I know Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God to restore the gospel in the latter days. He was led by the spirit in organizing this church and translating the Book of Mormon. I know we are led by a prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, and he is led by the spirit of God. I am so grateful there are temples on the earth today, and I will someday have the opportunity to be married for all eternity and be sealed to my family! If there is any doubt in your mind as to whether or not this church is true, I encourage you to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it with a sincere heart and real intent, and Heavenly Father will answer your prayers. I know he's answered mine!

How I live my faith

I'm a member of the Laurel Class Presidency (16-18 year olds). I help to plan mutual activities every week, as well as fellowship all the girls! We try to center each activity around a gospel subject or principle to help bring the spirit. We also work on our Personal Progress often! Once a month we have IHOP (Important Hour Of Progress) where we eat breakfast food and work on Personal Progress. It's tons of fun, and the girls love it! Not to mention, we're building our testimonies. I love attending seminary every day before school, because it helps me to feel the spirit early in the morning before facing the challenges of high school. It has helped to build my testimony so much over the past 3 years!
