Hi I'm Lori

I was born and bred in a really small town. I love music, theater, dance, FOOD, all things country, I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love theater, dance, music, hiking, eating, you name it. I'm not particularly picky when it comes to things I like and/or love. Of the 6 kids in my fam bam; I am the 5th to be born, 4th to drive my car, 3rd to serve a mission, 2nd to go to college, and 1st to be in 3 world-wide broadcasted events in a year. I'm a Family and Consumer Science major at BYUI, and eventually I'll be teaching home economics classes at a school somewhere. :) I play guitar and piano, I cook, I serve the Lord, I live. Everything that I own in this world fits into a hatchback with room to spare. My life is pretty awesome!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, i never really had any reason to go to church every week. It was just something that my family did. I never really grasped the importance of this Gospel until my parents divorced. I've lived with a single parent for about 10 years now, and yeah, it's been really hard sometimes. It's sometimes difficult to try and live the standards of the church all the time. I had to work my butt off to pay for just one semester of college, but I am certain that the Lord has had His hand in allowing me to stay in school. I am in no way the perfect Mormon. But I know with my whole heart that this gospel is the complete truth. I would not be who I am today if I wasn't a part of this church; I would have never gone to college, never thought anything better of myself than being a half-empty human, I would never have known just how much my Lord and Savior knows me personally, and loves me for me. My savior died for me so that I could live again in the presence of God one day, and I am eternally grateful for that knowledge.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday no matter where I am in the world. I try to remember the Savior in everything I do, and I know I am blessed for it. I believe that what we believe as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and that it is the true and living Gospel of Jesus Christ on this earth today. I'll be entering the MTC in Janurary to become a full-time missionary in Texas for 18 months. I am so excited to go! Jesus Christ has given me so much joy when I thought there was none, and I finally have an opportunity to share that joy that comes with learning of Him, and trying to follow His example with others all-day, everyday for just a small portion of my time here on Earth. This Gospel is something that brings pure happiness to myself and to others, why would I not want to share that with as many as I can?
