Hi I'm Karaly

I'm a violinist of 17 years, I love the out doors, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Can you say, "music nerd?" If so, then that pretty much covers a lot of who I am. When I was 4 years old I started playing the violin and have loved it ever since!!! I'm always looking for opportunities to perform and to increase my musical knowledge. Fortunately, I've been blessed with parents who are in full support of my musical endeavors. Because of the experiences with music that I've had, and the AMAZING chances of working with renowned musicians, one day I want to be able to inspire other young musicians to become the best they can be. Of course music isn't the only thing I enjoy doing. I also love horseback ridding, hiking, cooking, learning random stuff about almost anything, going to livestock auctions with my Dad, spending time with my family at home, and looking for ways to get to know my other family members better.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. For as long as I can remember I have believed this church to be true. One year at girls camp, when I was fourteen, I decided that I needed to know if God was real and if he really knew who I was. During our private study time I took a walk away from camp and found a place where I was alone and could pray. As I began my prayer I was scared that I would not receive an answer and started to cry. As soon as I got the question out of my mouth, I stopped crying and got that warm feeling and confirmation that God was listening to my prayer and knew who I was and that He loves me. A few years later I had a similar experience with asking about the Book of Mormon's truth and The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. Again I received a warm confirmation that it is true. Being able to pray and receive answers for myself is one of the things that I love most about God's plan for all of us. If you have questions about this church, you really do not have to take anyone's word for it, you can pray and know for yourself.

How I live my faith

Recently I have come to realize just how vital my faith is to everything I do. As I've studied, pondered, and prayed I've come to find over and over that real faith leads to action, and that action leads to increased faith. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I live my faith by being as obedient as I can be to the commandments of God. I strive to always improve, to change, because I know that I am not perfect. I try to look for opportunities to serve others in need. I try to follow Christ's example and do what He would do. I try to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those that I meet because I know it will bless their lives as it has blessed mine.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons do not only help Mormons. We believe that each person is our brother or sister and as such we strive to help them just as we would our biological brothers and sisters. Show more Show less
