Hi I'm Jeff

I was born and raised in Texas. I want to be an accounting professor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Texas with two brothers and my parents. I went to Brigham Young University and lived for a while in Rio de Janeiro where I learned Portuguese. It was at BYU where I realized I loved accounting research. I enjoy looking at how accounting information is influenced by individual's judgment and decision-making processes. I am pursuing a PhD in accounting and hope to be a great accounting professor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church on the earth today. I believe that the Bible and the Book of Mormon contain the Word of God. I believe that the church is guided by a modern-day prophet. My testimony of the gospel comes from the guidance and influence of the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Ghost, anyone can know the truthfulness of the gospel. By steadfast obedience to God's commandments, diligent scripture study, and sincere prayer, I have been able to recognize the hand of the Lord in my life and what I need to do in order to enjoy the eternal blessings available to those who follow the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through my daily thoughts and actions. The church gives me plenty of opportunities to help and serve those in the church and the community. I help with the young single adults in the area by planning and organizing different social, spiritual, and service activities throughout the year. I also try to help those around me live gospel principles.
