Hi I'm Shelby

I laugh at my own jokes. I like to be outside! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hey there! I am Shelby! I am from a town where there are more cows than people. I have 3 brothers. I love to be outside, play sports and ski. I like to laugh, especially at my own jokes because I am so funny.. or think I am. I am currently studying Special Education. I have been to China and Chile, I love seeing different cultures... people are so great in every corner of the earth. I am happy! I know who I am, I have purpose, and every day there is something to be found that is meaningful, and worthwhile.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ! The same church that He established when He walked the earth with the same Priesthood authority that He gave to His apostles.I am a Mormon, because as I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ I am happy! As I live the Gospel, I have peace... a peace that can not be found anywhere else. I am a Mormon because I want to follow the example of the Savior, and come closer to Him. I am a Mormon because I love my family, and I know that we can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Jesus Christ. He lived a perfect life, and though I fall short of this perfection... each day I try to become better- more like Him. I try to look for opportunities to do good, to uplift, and love others. I learn of Him as I read the scriptures, the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Each day as I study the scriptures, I am filled with peace, I find answers, and receive strength to keep moving forward. I live my faith as daily I come closer to my Heavenly Father as I communicate with Him through prayer. I know that He is my Heavenly Father, and that I am His daughter. I know He loves and listens to His children, and wants us to succeed. I live my faith by coming to church each Sunday, and setting apart that special day for God. As I come to church I am reminded of my Savior, and what He did for me. I reflect back on my week, and feel recharged to live the next one better. I learn more of Him and His Gospel. I live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ.
