Hi I'm Sam

I'm food fanatic, a guitar player, napping enthusiast. I have incredible parents, 8 awesome siblings and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Sam. I'm a Draperite from Draper Utah. I'm currently serving a 2 year mission in California. I love cooking and along with that, I LOVE eating food. I'm always game for a good kitchen experiment. I even enjoy doing the dishes...(sometimes.) I play guitar and a few selected songs on the piano. I like writing music. I'd most likely be a budding star on the violin if my sister would let me play hers...I like to doodle. I have an awesome family and love spending time with them. I love my dog, Max. I'm trying to learn Spanish and work on my chile pepper eating skills. I don't know exactly what I want to be when I grow up but being a Dad is right up there on the list. I like creative things and making or designing stuff. Going on a mission is the best decision I’ve ever made. I'd highly recommend it. I love serving people here and the personal one-on-one study time I get in the mornings with my Father in Heaven and the scriptures. I LOVE the Book of Mormon. Thats me.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has a great history of ancestors that have been born, lived, and died faithful to their testimonies of gospel of Jesus Christ. And from that rich history, I have added my own witness and dedicated two years of my life to the spreading of the gospel as a missionary. Why am I a Mormon? Because it's true. As a bearer of truth, it is my responsibility to share what I know. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. And I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the fullness of this gospel. The exact same gospel that Christ established and taught while he was living upon the earth. The Bible and the Book of Mormon together contain the fullness of Christ's teachings. The world needs this now more than ever. We must share our Savior's Gospel. I know that living righteously is the only way to bring true happiness and safety to the soul. And that is why I choose to faithfully serve our Lord, Jesus Christ. May my life stand as a witness of my faith in Him.

How I live my faith

I believe how we live shows faith. The standards we keep and the decisions we make, are and should stand as a testimony of what we believe. We should be actively engaged in productive things. I weekly attend church, and try everyday to follow Christ's example in making right decisions and studying his teachings. I try to obey the commandments and help my family and friends to do so as well. I strive to maintain high standards even if the world generally does not support them. I live my faith through just trying to do the right thing every day. I feel successful when I can look back on my day and feel satisfaction with the knowledge that I did some good in the world.
