Hi I'm Alissa Mitchell

I'm an artist. I served a mission in Campinas, Brazil. I have a drool worthy bucketlist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved the outdoors; running, hiking, swimming, daydreaming, really anything that gets my mind spinning and my heart thumping. I also love draw ing and painting, singing, reading, photography, interprative dancing, playing soccer, meeting people, going on adventures, making bread, laughing, doing yoga, watching the sky, learning, exploring, listening to life stories- you know, pretty cliche things. But absolutely adore my family (I lucked out with some of the greatest folks out there) Oh, also? I love eating delicious food. But then again, who doesn't.

Why I am a Mormon

Because God told me The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. :) It's as simple as that. I feel it. I know that I am a daughter of God. We are the spiritual offspring of the greatest being in existence. And He loves us. Trusts us. And want's to teach us and forgive us, as many times as we will let Him.

How I live my faith

To me, the best way to "live my faith" is being close to the God I have faith in. He is incredible. So loving. So knowing. And so very very patient. He loves me, and I love Him. Sometimes, I forget to show Him that by my actions.Truly, it is something that requires effort and practice. Diligence. Patience. But day after day... moment after moment.... I find myself reflecting more on Him and our Savior. And changes begin to meander about. It is a constant battle on my tippy toes. To remember who I am... and who I am supposed to become. But that's okay. It seems I value the harder things so much more.
