Hi I'm Amanda

I am a divorced mother of three and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a strong LDS home. I married in the temple and after 13 years of marriage, I divorced my husband. I am now a 33-year old divorced mother of three children and going back to college to earn a degree so that I can support my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel that I have been given a spiritual gift. My gift is that I have always known the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the earth today. I have always had a testimony of the gospel, the Book of Mormon, and my Savior. I've never had a doubt. Not one. That does not mean that I have not earnestly sought to confirm my testimony through study, prayer, and listening to the whisperings of the the Spirit. I have. I have had my testimony, knowledge, and faith confirmed time and time again. I have sure knowledge that my Heavenly Father knows me personally. He has blessed me in ways beyond my comprehension. I can not deny the miracles in my life that I know to be from my Heavenly Father and my Savior. Through joy and sorrow my Savior has given me strength, wisdom, peace, and comfort. It is through Him and his everlasting atonement that I am the woman that I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by focusing on family. I try to keep life simple and focus on the physical and spiritual needs of my children. We read scriptures, pray, go to church, and have lots of family time. On Monday nights we have a spiritual lesson, play a game, and have a treat. It means a lot in our busy lives to be able to spend one night a week focusing on the spiritual needs of our family. I also try to serve my family, friends, and neighbors in any way that I can. Whether that is watching a child, bringing in a meal, or just listening to someone who needs to talk. I love that the Lord can use me to help His other children.
