Hi I'm Greg Moore

I was born & raised in the Northeast. I am the proud father of 7 children. I am the first missionary in our family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an only child raised by a single parent. My loving mother worked hard to provide me with the necessities of life, but more importantly, the example and importance of service and work ethic. I have a degree in psychology and I have had the wonderful experience on a daily basis of serving youth and families as a County Employee for the past 16 years. The objective is always to strive to keep the family unit in tact while supporting and mentoring youth to make necessary changes to enjoy a better quality of life. I have also served as a defensive coach for the past 15 years, coaching high school varsity football. I enjoy traveling, technology, family hikes, and family vacations to explore the many beauties that our Heavenly Father has created. We have visited 38 of the 50 states in the USA. I am married forever to my sweetheart of 15 awesome years. I am also the father of seven children - six boys and one ray of sunshine - my 14 year old daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandmother and great grandmother joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the 1930's. My grandmother married my grandfather in 1944 however, my grandfather opted not to join the church. My grandmother raised two sons and two daughters in the church. Her second oldest child was my mother. My mother would raise me in the church. I was baptized and became a member when I was 11 years old. I would later pass through the Primary program, Youth program, and go on to serve a full time mission in the most beautiful land created by God - the country of Bolivia. I learned to love the Bolivian people, culture, and country as my very own. I learned more from them then I was able to teach them in my two years of service. I am a Mormon because as a young boy I learned the story of a boy not much older than me who entered a grove of trees and offered prayer to God the Father to find an answer to his prayers about the true and living gospel on earth. I too had wondered the same. I am a Mormon because a year before my baptism I learned that I could hold the priesthood - the true power to act in God's name here on earth. I am a Mormon because I learned that God loved me so much that he would unselfishly send His ONLY begotten son to earth to provide a way for me based upon my faithfulness to return to live with Him someday. I am a Mormon because I believe all that God has revealed , all that He does now reveal, and I believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God by way of living prophets. I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon to be true and to be the word of God. I am a Mormon because I believe that families can be together forever. That husbands and wives can seal their marriage for time and all eternity and carry with them their many loved ones. I know these things to be true and there is nothing that can sway my conviction. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith based on service and love not only towards members of the Church, but to the community as well. I have served in various callings (responsibilities). I have worked with the men in the Church to organize home visits to see after each of the families in the Church. I have served the youth for many years helping arrange activities, service projects, and opportunities for them to serve others and to feel the Savior's love in doing so. I currently serve in a calling that allows time to travel to other units within the church to see after the members, assist leadership in training opportunities, and to assist in the work of conversion, retention, and activation for the worth of a soul is great in the eyes of God. Often times the community has been the recipient of this loving service. I also live my faith by doing all that I can to be the best husband and father that Heavenly Father would have me become. I live my faith by trying my best to follow the Savior's example in patience, humility, charity, love, and perseverance. I am not perfect at anything, but it sure feels good inside when I try hard and the Spirit confirms it. I live my faith by being able to stand for what I believe in a world that changes and at times seems to decay faster than imagined. I live my faith by opening my mouth and sharing the most important bit of news that one could ever imagine - that Jesus Christ lives, that His Church is on the face of the earth, that His word was preserved and is available to be studied, and that anyone who will come unto Him with a broken heart and contrite spirit can experience the pure love of Christ. Lastly, I live my faith by studying the Lord's word so that I may always be able to understand the three biggest questions man may contemplate: Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where will I go from here? I have answers to these questions and I live my faith in humility but with true conviction that I am a son of a loving Father in Heaven.
