Hi I'm Ariel Staley

I am currently a full time missionary in the Florida Orlando Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a small ranching community in the South West corner of Wyoming. I am the third of four girls. I love being with my family. They are everything to me. I have a really close relationship with all three of my sisters and with my parents. I love to hunt, fish, and camp. I love to ride horses and love to just be outside. I love to country dance. I love to bake, but I can't cook to save my life. I was a swimmer, dancer, and Ag kid in high school. I have my associates in General Agriculture and before I came on my mission I was going to school to get my Agriculture Education degree, and plan to continue when I get home. I love everything about agriculture. I love the environment and just being outside and working hard. I love living in Wyoming, it's the place that I will always call home. I plan on raising a family there and helping them to have everything that I was privileged to have growing up in such an amazing place. I am currently serving my mission in the Orlando Florida area and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but was never really converted until about my third year in college. I did everything that a good "Mormon kid" should do. I went to seminary (religious class), I went to church, I read the scriptures and I prayed, but I never tried to find out for myself if it was true. After high school I decided to try a different path in life and that is when I realized that something was really missing in my life and I knew it was because I didn't have a testimony of the gospel. It took me a couple of years, and a lot of time humbling myself enough to realize how prideful I was being. I spent a lot of time on my knees in prayer to know if the church was really true. I had to know for myself. I got my answer very clear and that is why I have chosen to spread that testimony with the people of Florida. I was sitting in my room one day, listening to church music and the song "I hope they call me on a mission" came on and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Of course the church is true. I love this gospel. I love my Savior. I can honestly say that I know with every fiber of my being that this is the true church. I know that God loves me and that He has restored His church upon the earth. I know that we have a modern-day prophet, Thomas S. Monson, who leads and guides us today. I know that this gospel will truly bless ANYONE who will take the time to learn it and pray to know of its truthfulness. God lives. Jesus Christ lives. All They want is for us to return, and this is the way.

How I live my faith

Every day for 11 hours, I go out and I find those who are ready to listen and to learn about the church. My companion and I teach them the gospel and help them to make promises with their Heavenly Father that will help them to return to live with Him again. Every single day of my life is dedicated to the Lord. I have the opportunity for 18 months (December 2011 - June 2013) to spend every single second talking about Him and focusing only on Him. It is the way that I share with everyone I meet what I have come to know for myself, so that they can recieve the same peace and comfort for themselves.
