Hi I'm Christian

I like to draw. I like typography. I like photography. I like to make things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

right now i am serving a mission in beautiful iowa. i plan to go back to college this fall and continue studying industrial design. i love big cities. i love art and music. i listen to a wide variety of music, but am about as picky as you can get. i love going to concerts and riding my bike. i collect old cameras. i couldn't tell you the difference between a baseball and a football, but i love formula 1 and sports car racing. i love the outdoors, but i'm terrified of bugs. i have two younger sisters who are my very best friends and i have the greatest parents in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

short answer...because the church is true! longer answer...being raised in the church from a young age, i was able to see the blessings that come from living the gospel. and as i continued to try to do the things that i was taught - go to church, read the scriptures, pray, etc. - i began to recognize the spirit and feel the happiness that the gospel brought. i realized that there was a direct relationship between my happiness, and my adherence to living the gospel. this was evidence to me, along with a witness from the spirit that this is the path i should continue on, regardless of what anyone else could say or do.

How I live my faith

as a missionary, i try to be a representative of Christ at all times, and share the gospel with all those who will listen. but beyond that, i try to live my faith by doing just that. living the things that i know to be true, not just on sunday, but every day.

Are Mormons Christians?

Christian
as a missionary I often come across people who insist that as members of the church we are not christians. I usually have to laugh and tell them that i've been christian since the day I was born! ...and then i can begin to explain that i am just as much a believer in Jesus Christ as my name would imply. similarly, his name is the at the center of our church's name, as well as the center of our faith. we are believers in christ. he is very literally the head of our church. our goal in this life is to be able to return to live with him, and with our families forever. and it seems to me like it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if we were trying to return to live with someone we didn't believe in!
