Hi I'm Kris

I love my family, I love to play sports, I love Pittsburgh, I am the Crazy Horse, and I'm a Christian because I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey I'm Kris, I'm from a small farm town and love every part of it. I attended college at BYU-Idaho for a semester. I'm really in to playing sports and just being active. My sports are football, baseball, and I've really started to like basketball lately. I love being in the outdoors and hangin with family. My favorite outings are in the snow and mountains. I love snowboarding and snowmobiling. And I dig watching the fights every now and again. I currently enjoy other activities such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo. I'm really laid back, why get stressed? I served a two year mission in Pennsylvania and I loved it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS faith my whole life. I didn't have any cool conversion. I won't lie, because I was baptized at 8 years old, I can't remember my baptism other than wanting to swim in the water after. However, my testimony is something has come over time. As they say, it wasn't so much like turning on a light bulb but more like a rising sun. As I got older and went to high school I realized that this world can be pretty tough. I hadn't made the best decisions throughout my life but I remember the first time I felt our Heavenly Father's awareness of me. I just remember feeling so down and alone when someone close to me had died, and I needed to know if what I was being told was true. I prayed, and I honestly can't describe the feeling I got. But I knew, I knew that someone was listening and cared. And I knew that the person I loved was in a better place than me. Now, as I have gotten older I have learned that this Gospel is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He knows each of us, he suffered our pains and afflictions so that we wouldn't have to do it alone. He knows how to comfort us. All he asks is that we come to Him. Joseph Smith was a witness that Jesus is the Christ. He was a prophet of God, I know this because I've prayed and asked. It's a sure way to know the truth. I promise.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I live by the way things make me feel. If something makes me uncomfortable than it's best to stay away from it. It's the benefit of the Gift of the Holy Ghost, He tells us how we should live. I'm nowhere near perfect, but as a Latter-Day Saint I try to live the Savior's example. It's an uphill battle but it's definitely worth it.
