Hi I'm Roxsan

I'm a stay-at-home mom of five children and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a 43 year old mother of five children. I grew up in Utah where I learned to love the four seasons and the beauty of the earth. I love to cook and make my own food from scratch. I also am starting to learn how to garden so I can provide the yummiest food for my family and friends. I am living day to day, enjoying my little ones growing up.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving home where my parents were Mormon. I have always been sensitive to doing good and being a peacemaker as a small child. I loved how we lived as a family. We cherished being together as a family by camping, reunions, going hunting and other outings that brought us close together. My life was not without sadness and trial. As a young child my brother, who was very close to me, died by accidental gunshot. I missed him so much, but was taught that families can be together forever if we live righteously in His gospel. I knew I would see him again someday. As I grew into a young woman, in the Mormon religion when you reach a certain age, one can serve a full time mission to tell others of the good news of Christ. It was at this time I became serious in my membership of the Mormon church. If I was going out to preach of our church being a true church of Christ, I must know myself if it is true. I set out on my journey of serious study and prayer. Not receiveing and answer so quickly, I was determined and pressed on in study and prayer for several weeks. Then one morning I had the opportunity to see a group of deaf young men reenact the story of Joseph Smith's first vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ by sign language and mime. A feeling of warmth, peace and love had come over me so strongly I couldn't hold back the tears and my mind knew that this Mormon church, along with Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon was true. I had received my answer. I have never faultered in my testimony because of this experience, even when temptation has come my way. I know for sure!

How I live my faith

I serve in my faith by learning from and teaching the youth about the church and of my experiences. I try to be a wonderful neighbor and friend to those in and out of my faith. I think all people have wonderful goodness to share with me. As someone serving the Lord, I give as much of my time to the church as I can by checking in on neighbor families, loving the little children that are entrusted to me to teach them about Jesus Christ. I support my husband using his time with the Boy Scouts to teach them life lessons and skills. I also read the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other scriptures that I can receive strength from.
