Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm an Alabama native, a wife, a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am currently a student pursuing my BS in Human Development and Family Studies. I am planning on starting a Master's of Social Work program in the next year. I love helping people! I also love to sing, dance, and paint. I strive to surround myself with beautiful and positive things and I love making things beautiful. I am a newlywed and I LOVE being married! My husband and I both enjoy traveling and cooking together.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in a home that practiced and encouraged LDS beliefs, my own personal testimony was not automatic. My stubbornness required that I make my own mistakes instead of learning from others'. But, despite my struggles, my beliefs have never changed. I know God lives. I know He loves me. He listens when I pray and answers my prayers. My Heavenly Father knows my heart; He celebrates my joy and triumph and comforts my pain and heartache. He knows me better than myself and has a plan for me. He has laid out a plan to provide us, His children, with unimaginable happiness. I know that this life is not all that there is and my marriage and family connections span beyond my own comprehension. I love this gospel because it makes sense. It gives me direction, purpose, and meaning. It gives me hope and peace in a world that is desperate and tumultuous. It makes me happy like nothing else can make me happy with the promise that that happiness can be eternal.

How I live my faith

I have participated in my community and church in diverse ways my entire life. I attend church regularly and have helped in assignments like directing music or choirs, teaching Sunday School lessons, developing special youth programs, attending/volunteering at church summer camps, etc. I have participated in the community by volunteering with senior citizens in my area, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and volunteering with Eagle Scout projects. I am looking forward to future opportunities to serve!
