Hi I'm Becky

I have waited nine years for my one child and I am thrilled to be a Mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a cosmetologist and an electologist. I love to sew, decorate, iron, cook, bake, can, country dance, ZUMBA, speed walk, garden (LOVE herbs!! & fresh pico de gallo), vacuum (yes, I said vacuum), coupon, be on facebook, hang out with my family and with my parents and sibblings. I put my husband through school to get a A.S. degree and he has yet to get a job with what he has gone to school for. Maybe one day his new job will be ready for him!I have been married for 12 years and I have a 3 year old daughter that we waited 9 years for. I am a full time Mom and I love every minute of it, even on the hard moments I might not love it, but I wouldn't change it! Because life is so much fuller and meaningful with a child than without. I hope to have more kids, but that is in the Lords hands.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but that doesn't mean that you get an 'instant testimony'. I went to church every Sunday, went to the church sponsored activities like I am suposed to go to because that is just what you do. Yes, I had a choice, but that is just what I did. When I was almost 13 my brother was killed accidently by a gun, he was just 11. When I found out that he wasn't coming back to us, my heart was broken. BUT something changed inside of me, I don't know how to really describe it. I knew my family was sealed for all time and all eternity because my parents were married in the temple not civially (with do death do you part). But all the sudden I KNEW with no doubts that my brother was were he needed to be, because Heavenly Father doesn't make mistakes! (He just didn't turn around with his back to the world and my brother standing infront of him and Heavenly Father looking at him saying, now how did you get here? I wasn't expecting you for quite a while. He was there with open arms ready to bring my brother back to His presence, because he needed him back!) I KNEW that I would see him again and I KNOW that he will forever and always be MY brother. It doesn't take the sting or the occasional tears of him not being here away but at least I am comforted and I FEEL it, I KNOW it. There is no doubt. That was the beginning of my testimony and it has grown by leaps and bounds with the knowledge that I continue to learn about my loving Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently a gospel doctrine teacher, I have found that I LOVE this calling because of what the Lord teaches me while I prepare to teach on Sundays. It is SO gratifying. I wish that I could teach a 10th of the material that I study and learn. But when it's class time, yet, again I learn more from the members comments and the words and feelings that are brought to class! I have served a mission for the church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I loved every minute of it and I left in tears because I was leaving my new family and home. I loved teaching about forever families, that was and still is my favorite topic. Now I try to teach my daughter not only by words but by example so she can hopefully get her testimony quicker than I did to help her at a earlier age because of all the difficulites that she will be presented with in her life and having Heavenly Fathers spirit with you makes a BIG difference when faced with problems.
