Hi I'm Jasmine Chu

I grew up in Taiwan, I love to cook, to travel, and to interact with people. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student, majoring in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I love to travel around the world and learn languages. I love my family so much. The gospel has changed me and my family in many ways. It's just so important to me to have the gospel in my life. It's such a blessing to me that I knew the gospel in my childhood. I love the gospel, and I am so proud to be a member if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I join the church when I was 11. At that time, I didn't have a testimony of any doctrine of this church. I just had a really peaceful feeling whenever I went to the chapel. when the missionaries invited me to be baptized, I just simply nodded my head and accepted the invitation. As time went by, as I kept learning in the church, i truly gained my testimony that the church is true by doing the simplest things that God commanded us to do- CPR. Go to church, Pray, and Read the scripture, especially the Book of Mormon. As knelt down, prayed with a sincere heart, and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true, He answered my prayer. As the Spirit testified to me that the Book of Mormon is true, there is no way that I can deny my religion. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Sanits is the only true church on this earth. The prophet Joseph Smith had been called by God to restore the His gospel. And now, we have a living prophet- Thomas S. Monson, I know that he is the prophet of God, and the Book of Mormon is true. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

As I stated, I didn't really have a testimony of the church when I first joined the church, but as I kept going to church, I learned the basic things that I need to know as a member of the church. As soon as I knew the standard of the church I tried to live it, and tried to be as obedient as I could to keep my standard. I found out that as I did so, my life was blessed! I really like what President Monson said in the conference that,"It's easier to be 100% obedient than 99% obedient." It's so true! Obedience is truly the key to live in the gospel! The organizations in the church helped me to build my faith a lot as well. When I was in junior high, I started to go the lessons provided by church every morning, called the Seminary. By going to the seminary, I gained my testimony of the church, and became stronger and stronger in the church! Other than obedience and the seminary, the most important key for me to stay active in the church is my home Ward. I love my Ward so much! We are like a big family! We love each other so much, we care about each other, and we solve problems together. My Ward has been a big help for me to live my faith!
