Hi I'm Megan.

I'm a wedding cake designer, I love to be outside in nice weather, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always loved to be creative and to eat desserts! I discovered while in high school that you can mix the two together. That's how I got in to making wedding cakes. Creating something beautiful for someone else to enjoy and eat makes all the hard work worth it. I also love to spend time in the hot desert sun of Southern Utah. It just doesn't get any better than riding bikes and climbing rocks with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this Church. I have a long line of LDS pioneer heritage going all the way back to the 1800's. That is a fact of which I am very proud. But that's not why I belong to this Church. I am a member of this Church because when I was a teenager I needed help. It seemed that my life was spinning wildly out of control, or so my young mind thought. But I knew that I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be doing. Sure I went to church every Sunday, probably just because my parents were and that's what was expected, but I didn't put any effort in to it and got nothing in return. One day while I was wondering what was so wrong, I got a very strong spiritual impression to pray. I knelt on the ground next to my bed and while I was offering up my heart to the Lord, I felt His presence. For the first time in my life the Atonement of Jesus Christ was very real and very applicable. The Savior, Jesus Christ lives. He took away the sorrow I felt and He continues to do so every day. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church and everything that I have learned and believe is because the Holy Ghost has told me it is true. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith my being a missionary for The Chuch of Jesus Chirst of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in the Iowa Des Moines Mission and I love it!!! I love being able to see and meet new people every day and inviting everyone to learn a little bit more about Christ. I try to follow the example of Jesus Chirst by helping others to believe in Him. I live my faith by knowing that tomorrow isn't the end but I treat everyday like it could be. I am so grateful for the organization of the Church. The fact that we have a living prophet on the Earth today proves to me that God is real and that He loves us. I live my faith by everyday trying to be just a little bit better than I was yesterday. That's all He asks of us: progression. And that can lead to perfection, only in and through Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost testifies of truth and comforts us in times of sadness. Without the Holy Ghost we would never be able to understand gospel truths. That is because He testifies to our heart and mind that what we learned is true. Show more Show less
