Hi I'm Jake

I grew up in Sandy, Utah, served in the Iowa Des Moines Mission, and married my best friend in the San Diego temple.

About Me

Many years ago I was born in the land of potatoes known as Idaho. I have since moved to Utah, and spent a couple of years of my life in the frozen tundra of North Dakota. I served in the Iowa Des Moines Mission and now live in Logan with my beautiful wife. I love BYU athletics, the Jazz, Broncos, Red Sox, and basically anything that has to deal with sports. It seems that all of my hobbies eventually lead back into sports in one way or another! I've really grown to love the Spanish language as well. As a Spanish speaking missionary I had the chance to use the language everyday. It was awesome to learn and share the gospel in the Spanish language. I earned my associates degree at Salt Lake Community College and am now a student at Utah State University.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because it is what makes me happy. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and that he has suffered for my sins, your sins, and everyone's sins! When I repent I can feel the cleansing power of his atonement, and my guilt is swept away. All of us have trials and adversity in this life. The only way we can overcome those things is through faith in Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I know these things because I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it's truthfulness. The Holy Ghost has testified to me throughout my life that these things are true. Joseph Smith was a prophet, the church Christ established is on the earth again today, and He is our Lord and King!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by willingly accepting every responsibility that is given to me. I am a Sunday School teacher in my ward and get to teach with my wife.
