Hi I'm Trekker

I love station-wagons, longboarding, and heavy metal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to go against the norm and prove those who judge by appearance wrong. I'm an open-minded and accepting seeker of knowledge who loves to creatively express himself! I am an artist, longboarder, reader, musician, and most of all, a lover of music. God blessed me by allowing me to grow up in Mantua, Utah, the best little town in the world, where everyone waves hello to everyone else and if you're in town, you're considered family. I cannot say enough good things about my home in the little valley. My parents are hard-working, and they have always put their children first. I am the oldest of four - i have two beautiful younger sisters and a little brother, as well as 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 chickens.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only sect of Christianity that makes sense to me. All the questions that the world asks are answered here. This doesn't mean that living with the standards of this the Lord's church is easy, but it does mean it's worth it. We all are commanded by God to do certain things, many of which are hard to do in these days of moral degradation and sleaze, but I have seen the blessings of obeying the word of God which has been relayed through our prophets and apostles, of whom I testify are inspired by and speak with our God.

How I live my faith

The great thing about this organization is that there is something for everyone to do! We are all brothers and sisters, and we are expected to pull our own weight and help each other out. It is so rewarding. In the past I have been a teacher of gospel doctrine for the young single adults, as well as the men of the congregation. Growing up in the church has given me the opportunity to always serve my fellow man.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Our God is a God of order, and to Him, all things must be done in order. He has given certain persons on this earth the authority to perform certain ordinances, one of which is baptism. This authority from God to act in his name is called the Priesthood. Jesus gave this authority to his 12 apostles by the laying on of hands, and later, when the Gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, Peter, James, and John, 3 of Christ's original 12 apostles, appeared to the prophet and, through the laying on of hands and a blessing, bestowed upon the prophet this authority to act in the name of God. Since that time, the Priesthood power has been passed down under direction of God to all worthy male members of this church. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon, just like all scripture (including the Holy Bible), was written by prophets called of God. The Book itself is an abridgement of many ancient records of the inhabitants of the ancient American continent, being abridged by the prophet/historian Mormon (hence it's title). Show more Show less
