Hi I'm Trent

I'm from Pleasant Grove, Ut. I love frisbee golf and wearing overalls. I'm planning on going to Europe someday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I quite thoroughly enjoy life. I find it even more enjoyable when I'm wearing overalls. I grew up in Pleasant Grove, Ut, which is yet another Utah suburb as the youngest of 6 kids and I enjoyed every minute of it. I spend my time searching out any local thrift stores to find good deals, playing sports and occasionally I'll play some tetris. As of recent I've stumbled across the sport of disc golf and fell in love with it. I served a mission for the church in the promised land of Iowa. I feel that any amount of stress can be relieved by driving through the corn fields. I have a dream of going to Spain to buy a custom tailored suit. I am going to college and striving to get into business school. Wish me luck. Overall life beautiful.

Why I am a Mormon

All growing up I was surrounded by the influence of the Church and was blessed to have amazing parents who taught me about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through their examples and great parenting I gained a faith in God early in my life and always knew that He loved me. It wasn't until the summer time when I was 17 that I gained a true conviction of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints being Christ's church on the earth. It was about a year before and I was camping when I had a friend invite me to read the Book of Mormon completely through in one year. I accepted the invitation. As the months ensued however, I neglected to read. With only 2 months before the year was up I realized that I had some major reading to do. I knuckled down and started reading everyday. I completed the Book with two days to spare. After finishing it, almost naturally I found myself kneeling in prayer and asking my Heavenly Father if the Book was true. After I ended the prayer I had the distinct thought come to me, "You know that it is true. You always have." At that moment I knew that not only was the Book of Mormon true but that the LDS church is Christ church on the earth. FOR REAL! It was that simple. What keeps me rooted in the church is the foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we live the principles thereof our joys will be magnified and our sorrows will be swallowed up. I have felt it. I know it is the only way to find true and lasting happiness. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to give service to those around me. Growing up my brothers and I would always go and shovel snow off the sidewalks of our neighbors when it was winter time and mow the lawns of those who weren't able to in the summer. My parents taught me through their example the importance of service even when it isn't necessarily convenient. Through helping others in small ways I feel that we can spread God's love. It's simple but it is my favorite way to live my faith.
