Hi I'm Caitlin

I live in Kentucky. I go to College. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying exercise science. I have 3 siblings, a single mom, and wonderful grandparents. I also have a dog who has been with teh family through good times and bad. My family was fortunate enough to escape a abusive relationship. The struggle of that time will forever be carried with us but we have learned how to move past it. I like to play sports. I like to watch sports. I love my family so not enough time is ever spent with them. I love to do service whatever it shall be.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at the age of 14. Along with my grandmother and sister. We already had some family in the church but for us it was amazing to learn. I guess it was a safe haven for me as I felt that it was something I can start fresh in. Trust me no one told me about early morning seminary or I may have thought about it a bit harder. ! It was honestly just the right thing to do at the time. After that I have learned all I can from Young women and the leaders. I have a branch so it is very easy to get attached to many people. I was always older then most of the young women but my sister and I always made weekend plans with most of the girls. The spirit with lds friends and school friends is very special. In our Branch the young women are spread throughout 3/4 schools. So some of us stand alone in our beliefs but when we are together we lift each other up. So unity plays a big role in why I am so strong in church. I listened with a open heart and received the holy ghost who has always been with me, and if you do that you will see the truth too.

How I live my faith

I don't have offical callings but I serve in the young women as a mentor , just someone they can talk to. I also help out in Primary and nursery both in my home branch and ward at school. I also am a big supporter in the YSA program. There are so few out where I am from and we need all the spirtual guidence we can get. I try and live my life by the standards I have learned. I don't go to a BYU so it is harder to stand up for what I believe because my support system is very small and sometimes not around. I like to think I do my best. I try to be an example to my mother and younger siblings whom are very inactive so I think if I countinue to choose the right one day they will also. I am just Caitlin and I have to take care of myself all though I tend to put others before me. But if you don't help yourself first your useless to those who really need you.
