Hi I'm M. Rosson Long

I love watching movies, swimming, playing computer games, spending time with my FAMILY & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, as it says in my description, I love swimming! Mostly breathing exercises to see how long I can hold my breath, for example, taking diving bricks and running from one end of the pool to the other (under the water, haha). That's challenging and really fun! I also really love movies! They're a family hobby, we all like to watch them together. From Tron to The Avengers and more I love watching movies especially with my friends and family! I also love watching anime with my siblings, haha, we all love Naruto. For those of you that are gamers! I love League of Legends, StarCraftII, Minecraft, GuildWars2, KoToR, Mass Effect, Halo, loved Exteel before they killed it, but yeah. I love all those games and more! I especially love gaming when I get to play games with my friends or family, otherwise I feel like it can be a little bit wasteful, but playing with the family or friends is definitely fun!! If you play LoL say hi sometime! (Z3THON) I like to play with my siblings. Most of all, I love spending time with my family. Whether it's watching a movie learning about the gospel at church or playing LoL together I love them all to pieces and don't know what I'd do without them. (Which is ironic right now, because I am serving a mission) I went to college and am serving a mission. I miss them all dearly during both of those times and really realized how important families are and how big a part of my life families are. Families are forever and I miss my forever family very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm going to be very honest. I got baptized when I was 8. I grew up in the church. When I was 8 I believed I could fly like people did in Dragon Ball Z, why wouldn't I believe in what my parents taught me if I could believe something like that!? I didn't have a real testimony of the church until I was about 16-17. What really kept me going all that time in between there was For the Strength of Youth. It's a pamphlet that talks about all the moral standards our church believes in. I really felt this was true, because whenever I did what was in there, I felt amazing! I felt like I had really helped someone out, really built someone up, really edified them. That really makes me happy in this life: Edifying others and making them smile! So that's the member I was as a young man. The scriptures were too hard to read but I loved serving those around me and lifting them up. It wasn't till I was about 14 that I realized: that's one of the simplest foundations of our religion! Building others up by following Christ's and serving others. Then I realized: This church must be true. So. I believed it, but how could I KNOW it? Well, I found out later on in life that there are two ways. 1. Read the Book of Mormon and pray about it and gain a spiritual revelation of it's truth like everyone bears testimony of. Or 2. Truly repent and see if my guilt goes away and I feel lighter and happier like everyone also bears testimony of! Well I decided I would do both! Why not!? There's nothing to lose! I can truly testify to you that I didn't just think my guilt away. It really was lifted from my shoulders. I sincerely know this gospel is true. I know as you become like a child and just believe! Have that faith to try it out! If it's true what is there to lose!? I know that if you do those things you too can know He lives and loves us. Just like you all knew Santa Existed and would give you presents when you were young. The Book of Mormon is true and God and Christ really do love us.

How I live my faith

I love edifying others and seeing their smile when I do something nice for them. I started the early morning serminary program in high school cause I wanted to take more classes, it's now grown to 30+ participants! I was Deacon's quorum leader, Teacher's quorum leader and 1st counselor in Priest's quorum. So, I was constantly organizing activities, always pushed into leadership positions and having to be the example, lol! But yeah. I love edifying others and building them up as I said in the above, that's really how I live my gospel. When you are in the service of your fellow man you are only in the service of your God. I also love just spending time with my family. I truly believe they are eternal and foundational and within the family you can teach lifelong principles so that your kids can be better than you.
