Hi I'm Elise Anderson

I love to play basketball, sing and be with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since I can remember, I've been apart of this church. I have grown up in Canada and the U.S. I have many interests from running, playing basketball, the violin, painting and singing harmony. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I am graduating from high school and getting ready to start college in the fall. I am so excited to start a new chapter of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel the truth of the gosple through the gift of the Holy Ghost I received after my baptism. The spirit has comforted, guided, taught and helped me to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know that only through Him I can return to Him, Heavenly Father and live with my family forever. I believe that Heavenly Father has a divine purpose for me as well as for all of his children and that he loves me so much no matter what. The gosple and its teachings gives me strength, peace, and comfort and ultimately joy. I know that if I try my best to remain worthy to enter the holy temple, I can have that joy forever.

How I live my faith

As a part of my congregation (ward) I've been called as a ward choir member! It seems insignificant, but music is a way for me to feel the love of my Heavenly Father and share my beliefs with others. So my calling is more important than it sounds. I feel like to live my faith it doesn't have to be only through a calling. I go to an early morning Seminary class every week day where I learn doctrinal teachings from the scriptures with other youth of our church. Through this I feel like I am living my faith because it show's my commitment to follow it. Seminary has not only strengthened my knowledge of the gosple, but has also influenced me to live it to the fullest.
