Hi I'm Claudia

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I joined the LDS Church when I was 13 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of six children and twenty-five grandchildren. My family brings me great joy. I have a kind and loving husband who shares my love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are now enjoying our retirement together and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a senior couple. Joining the LDS faith somewhat distanced me from my parents and siblings, but the peace I find within the Church has more than made up for this. I find great comfort in the knowledge that Heavenly Father loves me and guides me each and every day. Jesus Christ has been a light in my life and I fully believe that He is the Savior of the world who atoned for our sins. I enjoy sewing quilting, Family History (Genealogy) and visiting family. I retired as a secretary for a social service agency after twenty years, but my favorite vocation has been as a wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I made a commitment over fifty years ago when I was baptized to follow the Savior and keep his commandments. Blessings have been mine in abundance as I have adhered to the teachings and tenants of the LDS faith. Peace and comfort have been mine even amid difficult circumstances. The joy of having prayers answered, guidance given, and my testimony strengthened solidifies my decision to be a part of this wonderful religion.

How I live my faith

Service in the Church has always been a part of my life. I have worked in the Relief Society (LDS Women's Organization) as a president, secretary, and teacher. I am presently serving as the leader for Compassionate Service. I assign women in my congregation to help others with their needs, such as meals, housekeeping, child care, etc. I have also volunteered at the local Family History Center for four years helping those who are seeking to find their ancestors. I recently was called to serve as an Assistant Librarian for our local Church Meetinghouse.
