Hi I'm Doug Katzenbach

I'm a Mormon. I am an American and have been a mormon all my life

About Me

I'm 54 years old and married to a wonderful woman. I graduated from BYU. I have 6 children, 5 boys and 1girl. My two Oldest are married and I have 3 grandchildren. I teach Seminary to High school students. Seminary is a program that the Mormon church uses to teach its youth the doctrines of christ. I t is a great Job. I also coach soccer and almost all of my chilgren are soccer players and yet I never played soccer as a young man. I wrestled swam and played waterpolo. But my kids loved soccer so I learned how to coach it so I could coach my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was Born into the church. I am a 4th generation Mormon. But I found out for myself that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I studied the scriptures and prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if the things i had been taught and learned were true and the thru the Holy Ghost I received confirmation that it was true. That is one of the many things I love about the church is that we believe that each person can find out for themselves by asking God thru prayer and if your desire is sincere he will answer you thru the spirit. I mean the only one who can tell which of all the churches is true is God himself. I also Love the emphasis the church puts on family. I can"t thnk of anything that brings me more joy than my family.

How I live my faith

I teach the youth of our church everyday in a class called seminary. This is a class were the youth of our church learn about the scriptures and our beliefs. they attend the class every other day for 90 minutes. I really love what i do. I don't smoke or drink or swear because that is what are church teaches us. I try hard to treat people the way I would like to be treated although I am not perfect at it I keep trying and hopefully I'm getting better.
