Hi I'm Joshua Patterson

I grew up in Arizona. I am going on a full time mission to Fort Collins Colorado. I know that my Savior lives. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the only son of four children. My family has it's roots in the early days of the church and I am so proud of my heritage. I have a great love for family history work and I love to grow nearer to my eternal family. I know that Christ is my Savior he hath helped me through many hard times in my life. I know that the atonement is the greatest miracle to have ever taken place and I try to use its saving power everday. I know that the leaders of the church are called by divine instruction. I know that the Book of Mormon is the true I have prayed about it and gotten a knowledge of its truth by the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and cares about my needs. I know that I have received a mission call by divine revelation. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God and did see God the Father and Jesus Christ in the flesh. I know the importance of Temples and Temple Work and I love to go and perform that work. I know that the family is ordained of God and I cannot wait until I have the opportunity to have a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a great love for my Heavenly Father and his work. I was born and raised a Mormon and have gone through some times where my testimony has been tested. The atonement of Jesus Christ has been able to give me strength when I have been in need of strength. I have such a great love for my Savior and I know that he lives and by this we can all live with him again someday. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith was called of God to restore this gospel to the earth. I have prayed about this and have recieved conformation of its truth. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I have read it and followed Moroni's council and recieved of myself the testimon that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going hometeaching. I have such a great love for the work of home teaching because as I am the junior companion I am able to learn from my dad. I am also able to get to know families that I might not otherwise get to know and see how they live the gospel in their homes. I also live the gospel by bearing my testimony. I often get asked at school and at work why I am so different and that gives me a gateway into being able to talk about the love I have for this true gospel and how much it has done for me througout my life. I have also had the oppurtunity to be a ward family history consultant which allowed me to teach others in my ward family on how they can find and connect to their ancestors.
