Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Oregon. I am the mother of six and grandmother of nine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Idaho, Oregon, Utah, California, Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona. I like to learn about different cultures and have visited many other countries. I like to read, exercise for good health and spend time with my husband and extended family. I am not much of a camper but like to take day hikes to enjoy nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church and have found the gospel teachings to be a great source of light and direction in my life. I am grateful for the help the gospel has given me as I have raised 6 children and in my own personal life. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me comfort and peace and hope. It helps me through trials and the loss of loved ones. It helps me know that even though I make mistakes and am not perfect that I can repent and that God loves me.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday and love to learn more of the gospel during our sunday classes. I have done volunteer work in church in the children's, youth and women's programs through out the past years and just recently finished 1 1/2 years of volunteering full time at the mission office to help support our missionaries, who work hard every day to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have taught childen's classes, youth classes, early morning seminary classes to the youth before they went to school and in other positions of responsibility. When my children were at home I volunteered in their schools, preferring to work in the classroom to help the teacher when that was available.
