Hi I'm Sven

I am a student. I enjoy sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and my wife and I are expecting our first child soon. We are very excited about that. Life is busy since I am still in school, but we manage to do okay. I like to stay active and I run each day before class starts. I enjoy spending time with my wife and our friends that we have around us. Life is great.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home with a loving father and mother. They taught me the principles of Christ's gospel from the scriptures and from their personal experiences. They showed me a great example of how a disciple of Christ should live. Now that I am married and am starting a family of my own, I can see how important their example has been to me. It has made all the difference in the world as I have moved away from home. I am so grateful to my parents for the sacrifices they made to teach me Christ's gospel. Going to church each week helps me to keep my priorities in correct perspective. Serving others helps me feel Christ's love for me. I know that God lives. I know that I am His son. I know that He is mindful of me and that He loves me. I know that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to atone for my sins that I may one day return to live with Him again. I know that Christ died for me, and I know that he resurrected. I know that He lives today. I know that He guides and directs His Church today just like He guided and directed His Church in New Testament times. His Church helps me to become the father and husband that I want to become. I know that through Christ's suffering and resurrection my family will be together forever. I love my wife dearly and I suspect that I will love my children as well when they come. An eternal family is the thing that I want most and I know that it is possible because of Christ.

How I live my faith

I help to greet people and help them feel welcome when they come to church on Sunday. I sing in the choir, but not because I'm a good singer. It is more to support my wife who plays the piano for the choir. I help to organize a Sunday School class that teaches the principles of Christ's gospel. On occasion I also teach that class.
