Hi I'm Jimmy

I'm a Virginian, I'm a student, I'm a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in New York but grew up in Virginia just outside of DC. Currently a full-time missionary, serving in the California Oakland/San Francisco mission, speaking Mandarin Chinese.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon - a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - because I know God loves His children. I know He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for the sins of mankind. I know He has sent prophets to spread forth His word in days of old, and continues to do so in these the latter-days. I know He organized a church through Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, and that that very same church has been restored. I am a member of that church, and I am so blessed because of it.

How I live my faith

While in high school, I was a youth leader to a group of guys around my same age, and helped planned activities every week for our meetings called "mutual," that could be merely fun, service-oriented, or spiritual. At school I helped document our ward's activities. Our "ward" was over 200 of us freshmen who lived in the same complex of dorms. Now, I am a full-time missionary. My purpose is to bring souls unto Christ by spreading the good news of his gospel to mostly the Chinese people of the greater San Francisco area.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yep. The very name of the church is, after all, The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. We worship Jesus Christ as our Savior. Just as in times of old, prophets today still testify of Christ. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ. And so do I. So of course we are Christians! Show more Show less
