Hi I'm Dave

I was born in Northern California, I love football, Snowboarding, family time and gardening. I have 4 kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Northern California, moved to Utah when I was 2 after my mom and dad divorced. We lived in Las Vegas for a little while then eventually landed in Pleasant Grove where I met my future wife. We met in PGJHS and were best friend from the get go. She moved to Northern California just before High school which sucked because I missed my friend. I turns out she moved close to where my Dad lived in Nor Cal so I would call her when I came to visit. One summer I was visiting and called her to hang out. We had both grown up and that day we both had different feeling than before. A few months later I married my Jr. High school best friend and have been married for 12 years. We have four children 3 girls and 1 boy. We are enjoying raising our children together, teaching them how to work, garden, play, be kind and loving. The Mormon church has given our family a strong structure to build on and raise our family. The programs for the youth are fantastic.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife was raised in the Mormon church and I became a member 3 years after we got married. She asked if I had any interest in going to church, I said no but I won't make you sit there alone. As I attended church with my wife I began to have questions that later the missionaries would come and answer as they shared their testimonies. One New years eve, my pregnant wife and young daughter were extremely sick. My brother in law is a Mormon and offered to give her a blessing but need the assistance of another priesthood holder. We were able to call the bishop who asked a member of the church that lived by us to come over and help. The priesthood holder left his family at 11:30PM on New years eve to help my family. I will never forget the kindness of this man. I told my wife I would begin the path and be able to bless my family when required. A few month later my son was born. At the moment my son entered this world my eyes filled with tears and like a brick to the back of the head I heard the words "You know what to do" this was the Savior telling me to stop dragging my feet and get a move on my family needs the blessings from heaven. From that moment on I was like a one way train, I met with the missionaries, the bishop, was ordained an elder and had my wife and children sealed to me for time and eternity.

How I live my faith

I am a Cub master for our ward branch which is really fun and my son happens to be in scouts so we get to spend time together. I home teach two families in my ward and have become close to them as well as my home teaching partner. My wife and I try to go to the temple once a month and we try to attend our church service every Sunday. We have family home evening every Monday were we learn about Jesus Christ and Heavenly father, play games and have good quality time together as a family.
